Field Notes Response

Architecture students spend a great deal of time together. Their studio class is a 4 hour class in which they do projects. Because they sped so much time there they are a very close group of people and learn to help each other with projects. Some of these project might be done 4 or even 5 times before a final is complete. The professors have a very close relationship with the students as well. They critique projects over and over before a final is due to help the student understand aspects of the project and to help them make a better grade. These students are very hardworking and seem to posses the same basic qualities. They all are creative and intelligent people that question the composition of everything and seem to think in a way unique to there major study. Their other classes seem to have the same feel as studio, small groups despite the fact they may have 70 students. Students are encouraged to participate and sometimes forced into it, this gives the professor a relationship as that found in studio.
